Is Hydrogen the key to delivering our renewable future?

London - 23 April 2019

Renewable and clean energy technologies are increasing their place in our energy supply mix. Many argue the replacement has been too slow, much too slow. Politics, economics, technology, social acceptance, vested interests, all play their part.

One of the challenges clean renewables must overcome is storage and transport and hydrogen has the possibility to play a big part in unlocking this future - it is clean in use and easy to transport. The creation and use of hydrogen in industrial applications is very well established and it has an ideal technical profile - it is so simple and so clean. The Hydrogen Council says 1/5 Global energy needs could be supplied through hydrogen by 2050 a market of $ 2.5 Trillion.

Very soon hydrogen just might be heating your house, fueling your trains and powering lorries to your door.

But these are very early days for hydrogen in the energy supply mix and the question is can it be made to work technically and economically? If these barriers can be overcome the investment opportunities will be huge.

We have assembled 3 excellent speakers to shed some light on the reality, practicality and financing of Hydrogen:

Peter Durante, Managing Director - Technology & Innovation at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets

Kevin Kinsella, Senior Partner (Energy Transition) – ERM

Charles Purkess, Director at ITM Power Pty Ltd

Join us and bring your questions to get a fascinating insight into an early-stage development that might become part of big-time commodity business, as it did with natural gas, within a generation.
